Tosca, the flagship restaurant of Eat Well, Inc., is located on picturesque Hingham Harbor in Hingham, MA. Specializing in Italian-inspired cuisine, Tosca focuses on infusing fresh New England flavors and local, seasonal ingredients into all of its offerings. In its conception, Tosca was envisioned by its creators, Ed Kane and Greg Accera as being an oasis of inspired cuisine and dining in an area they found to be lacking in enriched fine food and wines. With its opening in 1993, Tosca opened the door for suburban fine dining and has ever since been considered a dining cornerstone on the South Shore. Constructed in the 1910 Granary Marketplace building, the award-winning restaurant boasts a theatrical setting with exposed brick, imported tiles, mahogany woods and an open kitchen from which award-winning Chef Kevin Long takes center stage.
The name "Tosca" itself comes from the famous Puccini Italian opera of the same name. The opera beautifully illustrates the northern Italian culture and heritage and evokes a strong rustic Italian feeling and image in all who view it. Tosca, with its visionary design, evokes those feeling, morphing diners from the warehouse in which it stands to a Tuscan farmhouse with a true manorial aura.
